The eastern third of the state could be in line for some bumpy weather later today.  Daytime heating, with highs in the 80s to near 90, and decent atmospheric moisture will combine across that area to created scattered thunderstorms.  Some thunderstorms could turn strong to severe and contain hail, frequent lightning, heavy rain, strong winds and possible tornadoes.  The state’s mountains and the northwest will see a few thunderstorms as well.

Tuesday will feature more heat across the state.  Thunderstorms will be around too, but perhaps not quite as many.  The northwest corner and the state’s mountains look to be in the best position for thunderstorm activity on Tuesday.
