Mild With Rain & T-Storms For Northern & Western WY Today, Warmer Than Normal & Breezy To Windy Elsewhere

An upper-level weather system and cool front will slowly approach the state of Wyoming today and will continue to move across the region on Tuesday.  Subtropical moisture will also be transferred into the region during this time.  For northern and western Wyoming, expect more clouds than sun, closer to average temperatures, and a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms today.  Daytime highs will remain in the 70's.  Elsewhere, we will see variably cloudy skies, warmer than normal temperatures, and only a minimal chance for showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will remain in the 80's, with some lower 90's across the far eastern Plains.  Winds will increase and become strong throughout the state this evening and tonight.  Expect gusts between 35 and 50 mph, with some isolated higher gusts, into Tuesday morning.  Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with cooler and closer to average temperatures statewide on Tuesday.  There will also be a good chance for rain showers and possibly a few thunderstorms, with the exception of far southeastern Wyoming.  Strong winds will also continue for central and eastern Wyoming, with gusts as high as 50 mph.  Even cooler temperatures and another round of rain showers and thunderstorms will arrive late Wednesday into Thursday.
