High pressure has moved in and will stay in place for the next several days.  This will lead to mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, mainly dry conditions statewide and mild January temperatures.  Daytime highs will be mainly the upper 30s and 40s.  The exception will be the northwest where highs will only be in the teens and 20s.   The northwest and western basin areas will also see areas of fog and freezing fog tonight into Friday morning.

The weather will not change much from day to day between now and Saturday.  On Sunday, however, the ridge of high pressure starts to break down as a cold front just grazes through the state.  Temperatures will cool a bit on Sunday.  Sunday night into early Monday there may be a few flurries or a little light snow in the east as the front pushes further south.  Monday will be even cooler.
