Today will feature mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies statewide.  However, the settled weather will not last too much longer.  Moisture coming up from the south will bring southern and portions of western Wyoming some scattered mixed showers for the lower elevations and snow for the high country this evening and tonight.

This moisture will combine with a cold front that will cross the state this weekend.  On Saturday western and central Wyoming will see developing snow showers.  The eastern plains will see more clouds and looks to stay dry through the afternoon.  Temperatures, however turn cooler statewide on Saturday.

Travelers do be aware of changing weather conditions Saturday into Sunday.  Be ready for developing snow showers and changing road conditions throughout the state especially later in the day into Sunday morning.  Also be aware of strong, gusty winds.  Portions of the southeast are under a High Wind Watch 5PM Saturday through 11AM Sunday.  Wind in the watch area will gust to 65 mph at times.

The cold front picks up speed late Saturday.  As it zips east Saturday evening through Sunday morning there will be some lighter snow showers on the eastern plains as well.  Sunday will feature chilly conditions with mainly mountain sn
