A cold front pushed through last night, with rain and even some snow showers across the southeast and breezy to gusty winds.  Some of these morning snow showers over the lower terrain will taper off by late morning and early afternoon as temperatures rise into the upper 30's and low 40's for the day.  Roads will likely stay wet across the lower terrain, without any major surface impacts.

Today, expect lingering cool temperatures and damp conditions through the afternoon hours.  Some fog is possible across the far southeast.  Northerly wind flow will keep temperatures quite cool, and will produce upslope precipitation across many regions.  Light rain showers and some drizzle will keep it feeling damp.  A large high pressure system moves in for Saturday and Sunday.  Weather conditions will improve.  Expect more sunshine for the weekend, cool temperatures and breezy fall-like winds.
