High pressure moving into the state will bring warmer weather to all areas now through the weekend.  Once the ridge of high pressure moves in, it will stay in place for several days in a row.  This will push the storm track and the cooler temperatures to our north

As the most recent cold front continues to drift south, the weather across the state will start to quiet down.  It will still be a chilly day statewide with temperatures hovering mainly in the 30s today, with teens and 20s for tonight

As another cold front moves through the state, snow will continue to spread from north to south today into tonight.  Some wind accompanying the snow will make for areas of blowing and drifting snow and reduced to poor visibility in some areas

All in all the weather will improve greatly across the Cowboy State over the next two days.  Most areas will see dry conditions, with the exception of the mountains, where mixed showers and a few scattered snow showers start up again on Friday

Originally scheduled to end at noon, the National Weather Service has extended the Winter Storm Warning until 9pm tonight.

Including the already accumulated snow, a total of 17-22 inches is expected before the storm finishes

Northwest flow in the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere will keep our weather unsettled for the next few days.  Scattered showers will develop and push through the state later today.  As temperatures cool into the teens and 20s this evening and tonight, the showers will mix and switch over to snow
