November 11th marks the day to honor veterans that have served our country, regardless if they are still with us or not.

Several hundred veterans gathered on Monday at the Wyoming State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville to mark that occasion.

Wyoming Adjutant General, Major General Luke Reiner, says the Cowboy State is well represented when it comes to serving.

"The residents of Wyoming have a propensity to serve. There's over 56,000 veterans in the state of Wyoming, which is over 10% of our population, and that speaks to the type of people that come from Wyoming."

General Reiner oversees the Wyoming Military Department as well the State Veterans Cemetery.

He says recent state legislative action has allowed expansion work to be done to allow more parking at the cemetery, as well as help raise the headstones that have been sinking into the ground, during the past few decades.
