Strong winds early today has made for a mild start to the day, but do not let that fool you as an active weather pattern is expected for the next several days.  A cold front will push through the state today leading to scattered mixed showers and snow showers in many areas.  The Sierra Madre and the Snowy ranges in south central Wyoming are under a Winter Weather Advisory through 8pm tonight.  Scattered mixed showers to all snow showers will push through the state this afternoon through Friday morning.   The snow will combine with strong winds making for reduced visibility and tricky traveling conditions in some areas.  Plan on allowing for extra traveling time.

Cooler temperatures will filter in behind the front on Friday.  At the same time an area of low pressure developing in the southwest will start to move our way.  Developing scattered snow showers are expected on Friday as well.

The snow will continue to push east on Saturday.  The weekend will start with even colder conditions.
