Unseasonably Hot With Isolated Showers & T-Storms Through Saturday, Not As Hot With Even More T-Storms on Sunday

A strong ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the state of Wyoming today.  A limited supply of monsoonal moisture and atmospheric instability will also be transferred into the region.  There will be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms today, mainly across western and far southern portions of the state.  Any storm that develops could produce gusty winds, lots of lightning, and brief periods of heavy rain.  Otherwise, expect sunny to mostly sunny skies with very warm to hot and slightly above normal temperatures.  Daytime highs today will stay in the 80's and 90's.  An upper-level weather system and cool front will then approach the state on Saturday and continue to move across the region on Sunday.  We will see increasing clouds, breezy to gusty winds, and late-day showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.  Temperatures will be not as hot, but still slightly above normal for western and northern Wyoming.  Meanwhile, hot and well above normal temperatures continue elsewhere.  On Sunday, expect partly to mostly sunny skies, strong winds, and another chance for showers and thunderstorms.  Temperatures will also be noticeably cooler and closer to average throughout the state for the end of the weekend.
