Wyoming Highway Patrol Troopers recently had to spend the night in their patrol cars after their vehicles became stranded because they were searching for other stranded vehicles.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation said roads in the Jackson Hole area were either closed or motorists were discouraged from traveling because of the storm.
High winds, heavy snowfall and blowing and drifting snow have created whiteout conditions in north central and eastern Wyoming creating hazardous conditions for motorists.
