There is no suspected danger to the community and no suspects are being sought, the sheriff's office said.

Police determined that the weapon involved was a 9mm Ruger handgun belonging to the boy's 24-year-old brother.

The boy was found to have survived the wound, and his injuries were treated at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County.

No one else was injured.

The woman died from gunshot wound.
