Casper City Council Elections

On Tuesday, the Casper city council voted to make councilmember Bruce Knell the vice-mayor and appointed Michael McIntosh and Kenyne Humphrey to fill two vacancies until January.

The new mayor and vice mayor of the Casper city council were elected, and afterward, the room had to be vacated to the public due to a public speaker refusing to leave.

Nearly all the candidates for Casper City Council who have not served on the council sharply disagreed with the new "removal from office" ordinance that allows council to remove elected council members.

Casper City Council Ward II  generally includes areas from Poplar Street westward. There are six candidates interested in the two seats up for election. Both incumbents would like to continue, but only four will remain on the ballot following the primaries...
