A 59-year-old transient who robbed a Cheyenne Bank in July and then threw the money in the air while waiting for police to arrive has been sentenced to 6 years in prison
The case began May 2 when law enforcement agencies responded to a call about a robbery of the Points West Community Bank on East Richards Street in Douglas.
He could have faced up to 20 years imprisonment on the bank robbery count. The firearms count was punishable by not less than seven years to life imprisonment.
