A ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the state of Wyoming today and Saturday.  However, subtropical moisture and atmospheric energy will be transferred into the region during this time due to an approaching low pressure system.  This low pressure system will then move into the region on Sunday.  For today and Saturday, expect partly to mostly sunny skies, warmer than normal temperatures (60's to lower 80's), and afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms.  Any thunderstorm that develops could be strong to possibly even severe, which could produce brief periods of heavy rain, frequent lightning, and hail.  Winds will also be gusty to strong throughout the state into the start of the weekend.  By Sunday, we will see more clouds than sun, cooler temperatures, and even more showers and thunderstorms.  Gusty to strong winds will also remain in the forecast.
