A Natrona County man is heading to prison after admitting he had drugs near some children.

Mark Kerns was sentenced to two-and-one-half to four-and-one-half years in prison, after pleading guilty to four counts of child endangerment meth and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say a January search of Kerns' home found meth paraphernilia items along with residue.

At the time of the search, a number of children were either visiting or living at Kerns' place, and Kerns admitted to investigators to being a meth user.
