In comparison with the past several days, the wind will be much calmer across the Cowboy State today.  Most of eastern Wyoming will experience west to northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph.  In Casper, today's wind will be mainly from the west to southwest.

Further west and in the state’s mountains, snow will continue to fall.  The far southwest, the Sierra Madre and the Snowy Ranges are in Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories through Friday morning.

Tonight into Friday morning the snow in the west will move east along a cold front.  Central and eastern Wyoming will see scattered snow showers, but accumulations will be fairly light in the lower elevations.  Friday will also be a colder day, with highs only in the 20s in Casper.
