University of Wyoming track athlete and Kelly Walsh high school grad Jerayah Davis will be competing in the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas next month in 3 events. She had a tremendous West Regional meet in Sacramento over the weekend starting out with a 6th place finish in the long jump with a leap of 20-5.75. She entered the meet as the 18th seeded jumper and finished 3rd. Davis also qualified for nationals in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.35. Earlier this season, she set the school record in the 100 with a clocking of 11.18. In addition to that, Davis, along with with Ja'la Henderson, Shayla Howell and Jordan Edmonds punched their ticket to Austin in the 4x100 relay with a time of 44.69. Henderson by the way qualified for nationals in the triple jump for the 2nd straight year. Davis was an all state performer at Kelly Walsh and was a 4 time state champion in the 100 and the 200 meters. The NCAA championships will be June 5-8 at the University of Texas.
