6:22 P.M. UPDATE:

The intersection of County Road 138 and County Road 203 (Chalk Bluff Road) has reopened following what the Laramie County Sheriff's Office is reporting as a fatal crash.

The agency says the cause and details are currently under investigation.

This is the third reported fatal crash in Laramie County in the last five days, and the fifth reported fatal crash in Laramie County this year.

An investigation is currently underway following a crash in southeast Laramie County, the Sheriff's Office says.

According to a department Facebook post published at 2:17 p.m., the crash happened at County Road 138 and County Road 203 (Chalk Bluff Road), about 10 miles west of Carpenter.

Intersection Closed

"All lanes of traffic are closed," the post reads. "Please use alternate routes."

The Sheriff's Office say the closure is expected to take several hours.
