UPDATE: Cheyenne Police Say Accused Burglar ID’d Himself as His Brother
UPDATE:
On Wednesday, Jan. 8, while reviewing recent arrests, a Cheyenne police detective observed that Ruben Hernandez was arrested, however, the booking photo wasn't Ruben, it was his brother, Daniel Jacob Hernandez, 26, of Cheyenne.
It was discovered that Daniel provided a false name and date of birth to officers on Jan. 5.
The detective completed a new arrest form for Daniel for burglary to a vehicle and interference with a peace officer - no injury.

A 27-year-old Cheyenne transient is facing a felony charge after allegedly stealing items from a vehicle.
High-Risk Traffic Stop
According to a booking sheet, Ruben Matthew Hernandez was arrested at 12:58 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, after police were dispatched to the Luxury Inn at 1805 Westland Rd. for a high-risk traffic stop.
Police say Hernandez had a probable cause affidavit for vehicle burglary, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, up to a $10,000 fine, or both.
Hernandez was taken to the police department and interviewed, then booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Bond Set at $3K Cash
Hernandez made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Tuesday, Jan. 7, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 3 p.m.
