Teton County Suggests Apartments Over THE MORGUE

Sometimes we read news stories and wonder if it is true or satire. At times like this, as a radio talk show host, I thank the radio gods for the show prep.

Teton County Is So Desperate For Housing It Wants To Build It On A Morgue. That was the headline from Cowboy State Daily.

First, I'll explain that headline, then we are going to have some fun.

As you know, Teton County, Wyoming, has an affordable housing problem. So many mega-rich people live in the area that it has caused prices for even the average home to skyrocket beyond what most people can afford. Even police and firefighters have to live outside of the county and commute into work every day because they can't afford to live where they work.

So, where to put affordable apartments for county employees? HHHmmmm.

Well, the county is building a new morgue, so why not just add some apartments on top of it?

NOW LET'S HAVE SOME FUN!

This is a "B" horror movie waiting to happen. We have all seen the plot.

A group of young people takes jobs working for the county. They arrive at their new apartments only to find out that they will be living above the morgue. GROSS! Also, creepy. Who wants to look out their windows to see vehicles coming and going with dead bodies?

We will need hot young lady actresses and good-looking guys, but all annoyingly stupid at the same time.

One Saturday night they start drinking and hooking up. By 2 am they are totally wasted and start daring each other to break into the morgue. One of the hot girls will have to try out a dead body freezer just to scare her friends.

At this point, we have to decide if this movie will be a slasher film or a zombie flick. Maybe a ghost story.

I've been in morgues. They smell. There will be no avoiding that smell leaking upstairs to the apartments.

Perhaps the county will have to pay people to live there. Would you take that apartment?
