Heartbreaking Photos Show Aftermath of Fire at Farley’s Import Car Care in Casper
Photos show the full devastation after a fire destroyed Farley’s Import Car Care on E. Yellowstone Highway Friday morning. The building was completely engulfed in flames, leaving only charred ruins behind, pictured below.
Firefighters were called to 1351 E. Yellowstone Highway around 7:20 a.m. after reports of a structure fire. By the time units arrived, heavy smoke and flames forced crews to switch to defensive operations, as the building was already fully involved. Officials confirmed no one was inside at the time.
“Due largely to the delay between the fire starting and the 911 call, firefighters were limited in what tactics they could use,” Casper Fire-EMS said. “The building is likely a complete loss, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.”
The massive response required multiple city fire units and support from a number of agencies, including the Casper Police Department, Banner Wyoming Medical Center, the Natrona County Fire District, and mutual aid fire departments. Local businesses, including Sheet Metal Specialties and Metro Coffee, helped keep firefighters warm during the long operation.
The Natrona County Interagency Fire Investigation Task Force is investigating the cause, though police say there’s no indication of criminal activity.
Casper Fire-EMS reminded the public to test smoke alarms monthly and replace batteries as needed, noting that functioning alarms save lives and property.
