Trig Berens has moved up the baseball ladder in Casper and will take his skills to Vancouver, Washington to play for Clark College, Berens in his junior year with the Casper Oilers American Legion was a mainstay on their pitching staff as that team made the "AA" State Championship game, losing to Cheyenne Post 6. Berens was an all-conference pick as a sophomore with the Casper Drillers and received plenty of playing time with the Casper Crush growing up.

Berens also made a name for himself on the football field for Natrona as the Mustangs starting quarterback in 2023. He threw for 1330 yards with 12 TD passes and completed 59% of his throws. He had a 281-yard passing game vs. Cheyenne South with 4 touchdown passes, 183 yards vs. Rock Springs, and 185 vs. Cheyenne Central.

Clark College is in the community college system in Washington State and competes in the Northwest Athletic Conference.
