The cross country season moved along on Thursday with the Lander Invitational on a course that started at the school's football stadium and ended there. It was a challenging track that included grass, dirt surfaces, and cement.

On the boy's side, Worland's Trajn Swalstad continued his outstanding season with another dominating performance. His time was 16.21.9 with Micah Colling of Kelly Walsh pulling in 2nd with a clocking of 17.12.88. Mountain View's Dash Madsen was 3rd in 17.33.58 with Davion Spoonhunter 4th at 17.32.26 and KW's Garrett Peterson was 5th in 17.34.38.

In the boys team standings, Kelly Walsh was first with 46 points, Worland 2nd with 71. Mountain View 3rd with 73 followed by Burlington and Lander.

For the ladies, Lexi Longhurst of Kelly Walsh had a nice run to beat the field with a time of 20.32.24. Coming in 2nd was Raina Wachob from Cody at 20.57.27 and in 3rd was Aria Wheeler from Rock Springs with a time of 20.59.63. Dorothy Jensen from Lander was 4th in 21.12.28 and her teammate Ameya Eddy was 5th in 21.21.11

Cody took first in the girl's team standings with 37 points, Kelly Walsh 2nd with 47, and Worland 3rd with 67. Lyman was 4th and Rawlins 5th.
