On the second day of the 2024 Wyoming Legion Baseball AA State Tournament in Casper, two teams advance to the winner's bracket semifinals. Those two were the Cheyenne Sixers and the Gillette Riders. Two teams survived elimination games. That was Laramie and the Cheyenne Hawks.

The four-time defending champion Sixers beat the Sheridan Troopers, 19-4, in the first winner's bracket game. Cheyenne scored six runs in the second inning to take control. They added seven in the third inning and six more in the fourth. Nolan Horton had three hits and five RBIs. That included a three-run triple in the second inning, making it 6-0.

The second winner's bracket game had the Gillette Riders defeat the host Casper Oilers, 2-0. Mason Drube tossed a 1-hit shutout over six innings with seven strikeouts. Grayson Sargent worked the final inning for the save. Keyton Kilian's two-run double in the third inning provided the game's only runs.

In elimination action, Laramie beat Rock Springs 12-5 followed by the Cheyenne Hawks' 9-8 victory over the Jackson. The Stallions and Giants were knocked out of the tournament.

Sheridan faces the Cheyenne Hawks at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by Laramie against Casper at 4 p.m. The winners advance to Day 4, while the losers are eliminated. The winner's bracket game is the Cheyenne Sixers take on the Gillette Riders at 7 p.m. for a spot in Friday's championship game.
