Wyoming has many places to get your outdoor fix, whether fishing, hiking, camping, biking, boating, or relaxing. One of the hot spots is Glendo State Park in Glendo, WY.

When visiting the park, you know you can always count on stopping into Rooch's Marina for a cold beverage, a hot sandwich, or to top off the fuel tank. When you hit the marina this year, the faces will look different.

For the last couple of years, the marina's owners, Rick and Dawn Bodily, have been looking to sell the marina and move on to the next chapter of their lives, so they put it on the market. Since the marina means so much to so many people, there was a lot of interest in buying, but no takers.

After being on the market for a couple of years, the marina has sold, and the new owners, Mark, Alicia, Avery, and Blake, have taken over and are ready to kick off the 2024 season.

The marina has not only changed hands but also has changed names. From here on, it will be known as B&A Marina Glendo, WY.

Chatting with the new owner for an episode of Wyoming Hookin' & Huntin' Outdoors, he says they are excited to get the marina open for the season.

We're hopin' to be open May 1st for sure. We're getting everything transferred, but we have assumed the ownership and are just trying to get everything ready for the season.

Mark also said they have many big ideas for the marina's future.

Trying to make positive improvements as quickly as we can. We have ideas for more access for people.Adding guided wake boat rentals and increasing the rental fleet that we have available and make it easier for people to be able to come in and out on the weekends.

When the marina opens under the new name, the plan is to have the restaurant up and running with dedicated guest hours. The tentative hours, for now, will be Thursday, 12 pm - 9 pm; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7 am - 9 pm; and Monday open, 7 am until noon.

The new owners plan to add fuel options in the future, but you can count on the fuel being sold at the marina this year and possibly at the docks in 2025. Speaking of the docks, Mark says that they are working with dock companies to secure the existing docks and keep them from causing damage to people's property.

Only 10 days after officially opening, the marina will host the season's first big event, with the first round of the Wyoming Walleye Stampede on Mother's Day weekend. This will give the new crew their first test and have a chance to work out the kinks before the summer season is in full swing.

The future for Glendo's marina looks bright. Watch their Facebook B A Marina Glendo Wyoming page to see when their new website goes live by the end of March, and you'll be able to see all the different rental, food, fuel, and other options available.
