God Bless Wyoming’s Work Ethic
As Labor Day approaches, it's a good idea to step back and think about why the day is celebrated.
Some people get Labor Day confused with Memorial Day.
Memorial Day Weekend is when we reflect on those men and women we lost while they were serving our Country.
Labor Day Weekend is when we celebrate the American workers who, throughout time, built this country with hard labor.
Memorial Day Weekend kicks off the summer season, and Labor Day Weekend wraps it up and puts the bow on summer. Both are great for gathering with family and friends and celebrating.
Labor Day

You see Wyomingites working hard every day, and just because Labor Day is a National Holiday, that doesn't mean that all Wyomingites are taking the day off. The state's three largest industries don't stop because of a holiday.
Natural Resources - Mining is a 24/7 business. Coal, natural gas, crude oil, methane, uranium, trona, and other minerals drive this industry in Wyoming.
Tourism - Millions of tourists come to Wyoming to vacation and see the incredible sights. When most of the people in the country are "taking it easy," that's when Wyomingites in the tourism and hospitality industry are hard at work.
Agriculture - I've never seen a rancher or farmer take a day off because the calendar says it's a National Holiday. Animals and crops need to be tended to to keep the industry alive.
Thank God for the work ethic of Wyoming!
If you're one of the lucky ones who gets Labor Day off to relax and reflect on the hard work you put in every day, you may take the time to gather with family and friends for a cookout.
