Throughout Logan Wilson's football days, he's been no stranger to winning awards. He was all-state in high school at NCHS, freshman of the year and all conference in college at University of Wyoming and now ,as a pro football player with the Cincinnati Bengals, he's won the 2022 Ed Block Courage Award.

The award is named after legendary pro football athletic trainer Ed Block, who joined the Baltimore Colts in 1954 after earning a Purple Heart while serving under General Patton in World War II. During his career, not only was he an important part of the Colts, but he also worked to improve the lives of kids. His hard work and dedication continues today with the Ed Block Courage Award Foundation. This award is a special one that is awarded to a player from each team in the NFL that shows "professionalism, great strength and dedication," while being a great role model in the community. The award is coordinated between the athletic trainers throughout the league. Bengals Head Athletic Trainer Matt Summers said of Logan:

Logan is the ultimate professional and displayed the level of perseverance and courage that makes him the ideal recipient of this award

In 2021, Logan suffered a shoulder injury and played through the pain, but still being able to have a great season. The torn labrum needed to be repaired during the offseason, but it didn't stop him from working hard. Summers said Logan:

battled through a shoulder injury during the 2021 season, but was still very productive on the field and led the defense in tackles and interceptions. Logan had offseason shoulder surgery, he was resilient in his rehab and has been a very productive leader on and off the field this year.

When Logan received the award, the humble Wyomingite said at Bengals.com:

I take a lot of pride in representing the Bengals as best as I can, and in being a role model for my home state of Wyoming.

Way to go Logan, congratulations on making Wyoming proud and good luck as you lead the Bengals back into the playoffs.
