Exciting News! Line Dancing’s Coming Back To The Beacon In Mills
When Billy Ray Cyrus released 'Achy Breaky Heart' in 1992, the world of country bar dancing changed.
In the 1990's you could catch line dancing and country dancing on The Nashville Network, live from the Wild Horse Saloon in downtown Nashville, TN. I can remember my aunts and cousins, getting all 'cowgirled' up and heading out for a night of line dancing after spending the day watching the show on TV.
Really, if you went out to most bars during that time period, you would see folks on the dance floor line dancing.
There were some really big advantages to a night of line dancing.
- Got you out off the couch and out of the house
- A great source of exercise
- Cheap form of entertainment
- Meet new people and sometimes future spouses
If you've been missing those days of boot scootin', grape vining, cha cha cha'n, and spinning on the dance floor...good news.
Line dancing is back at the Beacon Club beginning Friday April 7th.
The event will be an every Friday night event with Casper's chapter of Country Kickup, a non-profit organization that brings people on the dance floor to raise money for community causes.
If you enjoy line dancing, swing dancing or are wanting to learn, Friday nights at The Beacon Club is going to be right up your alley.
