Join The Winter Clothing Drive For Wyoming Kids In Need
I know, we've all been saying it, even those who aren't a big fan of cold and snow, "This is a weird winter." Even though it hasn't been below freezing and we're not knee-deep in snow, for a young kid without a coat, it's really cold.
The group Care For Wyoming has just kicked off an event they're calling 'Host a Child Winter Clothing Drive' as a way to help get kids without those necessary winter clothes, the coats, boots, hats, gloves, or scarves they need to stay warm.
It's a simple process to donate or to receive clothing.
Go to CareForWyoming.org or the CareForWyoming Facebook page and post what you need, or what you have to offer. Adding a post to the site is free; that's the whole purpose of the website. Offering a free option for people to give or receive without the burden of trying to find money, when you may already be struggling.
Care For Wyoming.org is a peer-to-peer donation platform, quickly connecting donors with individuals and families that need assistance. Our website and group facilitates food donations and other essential goods across multiple categories, serving Casper and 23 other locations statewide.
Not only can you find people who are offering to give you clothing, but there are other options available.
- Food requests or offering
- Looking for a job, or looking to hire.
- Giving toys or asking for toys for your kids.
- Highlighting an opportunity to volunteer for an event or organization.
- There's also a statewide interactive food bank map that shows the location of open food pantries or food banks.
Go check out the site and familiarize yourself; you never know when you might fall on hard times and need a little help.
