I know this is going to hurt and some may be offended, but not everyone likes to go on vacation and be bothered by your kids.

There, I said it and it's now out in the open.

The reason for a vacation is to get away from all the hustle and bustle of real life, let your mind relax and have a minute to breathe. If there are kids running around everywhere, screaming and splashing around, it's hard to have the stress free vacation vibe going.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't be able to take your kids on vacation, that would be ridiculous. I'm saying when I'm on vacation, I don't want to have to deal with your kids.

Wyoming is such a vacation destination for so many, that it only makes sense to have 'adults only' locations.

Now before you get all worked up, let me explain.

When I say 'adults only', I'm not talking about a place where people are running around nekked and doing naughty things. I'm talking about resorts, ranches and hotels that doesn't allow kids to say there.

Honestly, I think it's a great idea and feel that more people would take advantage of this option if they knew it was available.

The Red Rock Ranch, Flat Creek Ranch and Goosewing Ranch are some of those ranches that offers an 'adults only' experience. When the calendar flips from August to September, the ranches rules also change.

During the summer, the ranches are open to family fun, offering horseback riding, fishing, square dancing, hiking and living the ranch life are opportunities for the family.

When September hits, you have to leave the kids at home and get to experience the ranch without the concern of kids.

It's a great concept and something you may want to check out.

Actually, there are quite a few hotels all over the state that offer 'adult only' room options. Again, not the way you're thinking....

A quick search on Travel Myth.com, shows there are at least 18 hotels/hostels/ Bed & Breakfasts/apartments that are 'adult only' options.

The best part is, they're in all areas of the state.
