DeVonne Harris, once again, blocked a kick. Jakorey Hawkins, once again, scooped it up and scored. This duo did the same thing a week ago. That was a tad more crucial, plus it was a field goal, not a point-after attempt.

Still, weird.

Wrook Brown again picked off a pass. He now leads the team with three of those. His fourth-quarter interception last Saturday sunk visiting Appalachian State.

Quarterback Andrew Peasley, like he did against the Mountaineers, rushed for a score. Harrison Waylee busted a 75-yard touchdown last week. This time he gutted the New Mexico defense for a 46-yard jaunt to the end zone. He added a 66-yarder early in the fourth quarter. He got caught from behind around the 11.

Texas couldn't catch the speedy running back. Neither could App State.
