Matija Belic Becomes Third Transfer to Ink With Pokes
LARAMIE -- Jeff Linder needed to recruit guards this offseason.
He now has three.
Matija Belic, who spent the previous two seasons at UC Santa Barbara, committed to Wyoming on Monday, according to sources familiar with the situation, joining fellow guard Tyree Ihenacho from the University of North Dakota.
Obi Agbim, a transfer from Fort Lewis, also inked with the Cowboys last Thursday.
Belic has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

A 6-foot-7, 205-pound native of Belgrade, Serbia, Belic appeared in 29 games -- nine starts -- for the Gauchos last season. He netted nearly four points a night while pulling down 2.4 rebounds. He did land in double figures three times, including a 16-point outburst against Westmont.
Belic shot better than 44% from the field during the 2023-24 campaign. He netted just 25% of his shots from beyond the arc while averaging 15.1 minutes a game.
The Gauchos faced No. 3 seed Baylor in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament inside Denver's Ball Arena.
Belic, then a true freshman, played just six minutes and scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting in a 74-56 loss. UC Santa Barbara was regular season Co-Champions of the Big West and won its conference tournament.
Wyoming has lost six players to the portal the offseason, most recently Missouri natives Cam Manyawu and Kael Combs, who figured to be building blocks toward the future. Brendan Wenzel, Caden Powell, Jacob Theodosiou and Jonas Sirtautas have also left the program.
The year prior, the Cowboys watched eight players leave via the portal, including the conference's preseason player of the year, Graham Ike.
Linder and Co. now have two available scholarships and a possible third if Kenny Foster doesn't come back for his final season in Laramie.
The transfer portal is open until May 1.
