Governor Matt Mead has named interim Attorney General Peter Michael as Wyoming's new Attorney General. Michael has served as interim Attorney General since July 22nd when he replaced Greg Phillips who was appointed to the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.  He joined the Wyoming Attorney General’s Office in 2006 as a Senior Assistant Attorney General supervising the water law section of the Natural Resources Division. Attorney General Greg Phillips appointed him Chief Deputy Attorney General effective May 1, 2011. Governor Mead said Michael is an outstanding attorney and an outstanding individual. Michael said he is "immensely excited by this opportunity to do this job."
