Cheyenne Police to Hold Active Shooter Exercise

The Cheyenne Police Department will conduct a simulated active shooter exercise at the City of Cheyenne Municipal Building this Wednesday.

Police will hold the exercise on the first floor from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., the second floor from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the third floor from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Certain areas of the building will not be accessible to the public during the exercise.

In December 2015, city employees attended a classroom seminar on what to do if an active shooter is present in the Municipal Building.
