Cheyenne Man Sentenced To 51 Months For Being A Felon With A Gun

A 26-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced in federal court to 51 months in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The sentence stemmed from from an October 2022 incident in which Michael Langley, who at the time was a passenger in a vehicle, fired several shots from a semiautomatic pistol at another vehicle in downtown Cheyenne.

At the time Langley was a convicted felon who was not allowed to possess a firearm. Langley pled guilty to possessing the gun, which had an obliterated serial number. Langley's sentence was handed down on Tuesday by Chief U.S. District Judge Scott Skavdahl,

Langely also was sentenced to pay a $100 special assessment and to serve three years of supervised release after he gets out of prison. The case was investigated by the Cheyenne Police Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
