Casper PD Says Officer Carlson’s Condition Improving
There was good news from the Casper Police Department on Thursday concerning the condition of Officer Jacob Carlson.
The extensive surgery that Chief McPheeters mentioned in his press conference on Wednesday was apparently successful.
It was anticipated to last 6 hours and doctors are pleased with the results.
The police statement says that he is resting in anticipation of more procedures to come.
Here is the official statement from the department.
CPD would like to give an update on Officer Carlson’s condition. He had another surgery yesterday that was a great success! His condition is improving, but still has a long way to go. Today, Jacob is resting and preparing for more surgeries tomorrow.
CPD would like to thank the community and everyone else across this great country who has reached out to us with their prayers and support for Officer Carlson!
In addition, there are events planned to help raise money, and replace the over 100 units of blood used for Officers Carlson's many surgical procedures.
On Saturday, May 12th from 11am - 4pm to the Yellowstone Garage, 355 W. Yellowstone Highway, there will be a replenishment blood drive in honor of Officer Carlson. You can call United Blood Services at 307-638-3326 and make an appointment or visit bloodhero.com and make an appointment as well.
