Casper Fire Chief Mark Young Retires
The City The Casper has announced that City Fire Chief Mark Young is retiring. Young made the announcement through the department's facebook. Chief Young has accepted the position of Assistant State Fire Marshall for the Wyoming State Fire Marshal's office.
Young started his career with the Casper Fire-EMS Department as a firefighter in 1979. He was promoted to Engineer in 1985, Captain in 1989, Division Chief of Personnel/Training for Fire/Police in 1992 and appointed to Fire Chief in 1999.
Chief Young's last day in the office will be on June 28th. He begins his employment with the State of Wyoming on July 15th.
