The University of Wyoming is reporting that more than 12,870 students are enrolled for the spring semester. Vice President for Student Affairs Sara Axelson says that’s an increase of more than 170 students from the 2011 spring semester and 34 students from last spring.

Axelson says spring enrollment should again surpass 13,000 students after all Outreach School numbers are recorded. UW set a new enrollment record in the fall of 2012, with close to 14,000 students taking classes on the Laramie campus and through the Outreach School. Spring enrollment is normally lower than fall semester enrollment.
