Expect mild temperatures today, as a ridge of high pressure dominates the Cowboy state.  Afternoon highs will rise into the 40's and 50's across much of the region.  There will not be as much sunshine today, as compared to yesterday.   Clouds increase late today and through Friday, as the next disturbance approaches.

A winter storm system sets up and intensifies late Friday through much of Saturday.  The main concern will be possibly rainfall before snow and cold temperatures Friday night into Saturday.  This scenario will likely create many areas of black ice and flash freezing on the roadways Friday night into Saturday, along with snowcover and accumulation through Saturday afternoon.
