CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — A bill that would give localities the option of using sixth-penny sales tax money to pay for road work has won preliminary approval in the Wyoming state Senate.

Widening Of Wyo 220 Set To Start This Summer
The widening of Wyoming Hwy 220 west of Casper has been moved up on the road construction calender. Wyoming Department of Transportation officials held an open house Wednesday evening to answer questions on the just over 5 mile, 28 million dollar project, that could start by July.
Jack Stone, resident engineer in Casper, says the construction extends the current four lanes that end just short of the future west bypass intersection near Gothberg road.
