About 35 acres of the Casper Mountain foothills have a new shade of black to them.
According to Casper Fire E.M.S., at around 4pm someone playing with a model rocket caused a medium sized grass fire on the southeast side of Casper.
The fire started in a large field just south of the intersection of Beverly and 24th Streets...
A grass fire in South-East Casper burned 25 acres before being contained by Casper Fire-EMS and units from Natrona County and the BLM. As of 5:45, Friday afternoon, the fire is reported as "contained."

Fire crews from Casper, Mills and the Natrona Fire District responded to a grass fire on the northwest side of Casper Sunday night. The Natrona County Sheriff's Department was also at the scene.
Natrona County and Mills Fire Departments responded to a grass fire west of Casper Tuesday evening. It was determined by officials that it was started by fireworks.
