The areas that recorded enrollment decreases were in parts of the state that rely on energy production, including Campbell County.

Transfer student numbers peaked in 2010 with 1,159, but that number steadily dropped before bottoming out in 2015 at 930.

Each year, enrollment figures are analyzed on the 10th classroom day of the school year, which is Sept. 14 this year.
