A man who admitted stealing from the Casper Police and Fire Departments is heading to prison.

Twenty-four year old Skylar Larson was sentenced to serve two-to-five years in prison after pleading guilty on two counts of burglary.

The charges stem from the theft of more than ten-thousand dollars worth of items from the downtown Casper fire station and several police cruisers.

In February, firefighters reported someone had entered station number one during the overnight hours and stole firefighting equipment and a TV.

A number of Casper police cars had also been burglarized.

Investigators say a piece of pool cue chalk led them to a nearby bar, where employees named Larson as a suspect.

Police say he confessed to the crimes, claiming he had been drinking prior to the burglaries.
