Stealing from the Casper Police and Fire Departments could put a man in prison for up to ten years.

Twenty-four year old Skylar Larson has changed his plea to guilty on two counts of burglary, stemming from the theft of more than ten-thousand dollars worth of items from the downtown Casper Fire Station and several police cruisers.

In February, firefighters reported someone had entered station number one, during the overnight hours and stole firefighting equipment and a TV.

A number of Casper police cars had also been burglarized.

Investigators say a piece of pool cue chalk led them to a nearby bar, where employees named Larson as a suspect.

Police say he confessed to the crimes, claiming he had been drinking prior to the burglaries.

Larson will be sentenced at a later date.
