PERTH, Australia (AP) —Faint sounds heard deep in the Indian Ocean, possibly from the missing Malaysian jetliner's black boxes, have faded the past two days.

One worry is the boxes' batteries have run down.

Angus Houston, the retired Australian air chief marshal who is heading the search, says it'll go on for a few more days before an autonomous submarine is deployed to search for a debris field.
