Health and education are top priorities for Wyoming Senator, Charles Scott, who announced he'll be running for re-election in the fall. After some 30 years in the Wyoming Senate, Scott says he's sponsored over 50 bills that have become law.

"I've had quite a bit of success in terms of things we've gotten done, for example the bill that established the Hathaway Scholarship was one of mine."

Senator Scott chairs the Committee on Labor, Health and Social Services. He says the committee will be working over the next months on issues concerning Medicaid in the state as well as looking to lessen the impact of the Affordable Care Act if its upheld, or, if its over-turned, to design a workable alternative.

He currently represents District 30 in northeastern Natrona County. The district includes Bar Nunn, Midwest, Bessemer Bend, Alcova, North Casper and Paradise Valley.
