YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — Yellowstone National Park rangers are looking for whoever illegally retrieved a bull elk carcass from inside the park last month.

Park rangers said Thursday the bull was shot sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 21 on the south side of the park behind the Wyoming Fish and Game patrol cabin along Thorofare Creek.

Hunting is banned within the park. Removing animals from the park isn't allowed either.
