A Rock Springs man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly firing a handgun inside his home.

Scott Moore, 39, was booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center on multiple charges of reckless endangerment, according to the Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office. Moore remained in custody as of Sunday evening.

According to Sweetwater County Sheriff Mike Lowell, deputies responded to a report of suspicious activity early Saturday morning.

The report involved two residences in Clearview Acres, and deputies arrived to find numerous bullet holes in one building. The bullets had pierced the wall from the inside, exiting through the building's exterior.

As they investigated, deputies encountered Moore. According to Lowell, Moore said he thought he fired "a total of ten rounds" from inside his home with a 9mm pistol.

Moore was taken into custody without incident. Deputies recovered a Ruger 9mm handgun and four rifles. A number of expended 9mm casings were also collected from Moore's home.

No one was hurt as a result of the shooting. Moore is expected to make his initial court appearance on Monday or Tuesday.
