The Wyoming Beef Council invites Wyoming residents to submit original beef recipes that can be prepared and cooked in 30 minutes or less for a chance to have it profiled in the state's beef promotion efforts.

All recipes must be original, use a fresh beef cut and contain no more than 10 commonly available and affordable ingredients, including fresh and pre-packaged foods. Submissions must include a completed application form, original recipe, a photo of you, and a summary (fewer than 300 words) telling us about you and your recipe. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2014. For more details and the application form, visit wybeef.com/submitrecipes.aspx.

Ann Wittmann, executive director of the Wyoming Beef Council said,

"We are looking for recipes that spotlight how easy it is to prepare a satisfying beef meal you can be proud of,"

As part of its efforts to increase beef demand, the Wyoming Beef Council has targeted its efforts to the millennial generation, whose members were born between 1980 and the early 2000's. According to extensive Beef Checkoff research, the millennial generation is hungry for convenient beef recipes and stories about where their food comes from.

The Wyoming Beef Council will review and judge all submissions based on taste, appearance, ingredients, and ability to prepare and cook it in 30 minutes or less. Selected recipes will be shared by the Wyoming Beef Council in print and through online promotions including wybeef.com and multiple social media sites. Individuals submitting selected recipes will be recognized in advertising and postings and will receive a free Wyoming Beef Council barbecue tool set.
