Construction expanding the campus at Wyoming Medical Center continues.

The next phase, which is about to begin, will bring a new West Tower, adding more private rooms, a new location for labor and delivery, and an orthopedic and neurosurgery unit. But to reach that end means they'll be expanding the construction zone.

"The west building that's 100 years old will be coming down March 15th. So the message is when we're taking down this west building is for our community to enter through the east parking garage."

Julie Cann-Taylor, Chief Operations Officer says ultimately, completion of the West Tower at Wyoming Medical Center will mean the return of their front door, something they haven't had for awhile. This next phase should be completed in about 2 years.
